Photographer exploring locations

Translating emotion into light.

I'm a photographer and visual storyteller. My work is an ongoing exploration of human connection, transient moments, and the quiet beauty hidden in plain sight.

01 • The Perspective

Why I press the shutter.

Photography, to me, is more than documenting reality. It's about interpreting it through a deeply personal lens. I'm driven by the desire to pause time, to take a fraction of a second and give it permanence.

Chasing the Unscripted

I'm fascinated by the moments in between the poses. A glance, a shift in posture, a subtle exhalation. That's where the raw authenticity lies, and that is what I continuously seek to capture.

Light as a Language

I view light not just as a technical requirement, but as my primary vocabulary. It has the power to conceal, reveal, and completely alter the psychological weight of an image.

02 • The Process

How I approach a shoot.

01

Observation

Before the camera even leaves my bag, I watch. I study how natural light traces through a space, how a subject interacts with their environment, and where the shadows naturally fall.

02

Connection

A portrait is ultimately a collaboration. I focus heavily on building trust and making the environment feel effortless. A camera is intimidating; conversation is the antidote.

03

Capture

When the moment aligns, I work decisively. I prefer to keep technical distractions to an absolute minimum so I can remain fully present with what's happening right in front of the lens.

03 • The Photographer

Driss Nassiri

Photographer, Filmmaker, Journalist.

I bought my first fully manual film camera when I was 17. The restrictive nature of analog forced me to be incredibly deliberate about every frame I shot. While I now shoot predominantly digital, that analog mindset still forms the foundation of my entire practice.

Over the years, my work has organically shifted across disciplines, starting in street photography, moving to fine art, and currently landing somewhere between lifestyle editorial and documentary-style portraiture. I believe the best images are the ones you can feel before you can understand.

When I'm not on assignment, I'm usually exploring architectural spaces, expanding my photobook collection, or intentionally getting lost in new cities.
