AFTER HOURS
A study in noir nostalgia and quiet moments
Finding calm in the quiet
These images are built around the warm, hazy atmosphere of the cafe. I wanted the natural light streaming through the windows to feel aged and heavy. It is about that specific feeling of being alone with your thoughts, creating a sense of solitude that feels removed from the modern world.
Dressing for another era
This set highlights the styling choices, focusing on the sharp fit of the suit and the worn texture of the leather bag. I tried to keep the focus tight on these details to sell the vintage mood. It is less about the person and more about the character they are stepping into for the afternoon.
The art of the pause
The focus here is on the subtle expressions while reading the paper. I wanted to capture that split second of genuine thought rather than a posed look. By keeping the composition clean and cinematic, the subject feels like a character pulled straight out of a classic film, frozen in the middle of a story.
